The
meeting was called to order at 4:02 PM by Chairman Jon Constance. Members
present: Jon Constance, Molly Reilly, John Kenna, Larry Barone, Floyd Dame.
Minutes
of the August 18, 2015 meeting were approved as corrected in a motion made by
Floyd Dame and seconded by Molly Reilly. (5 ayes, 0 nays)
NEW
BUSINESS: #15-48
Sandra Leuze, 211 Barn Alley, Sackets Harbor. Applicant wishes to construct
a shed in the back yard and a handicap ramp on the existing deck. The applicant
is requesting a rear yard set-back variance. A public hearing has been
scheduled for this meeting.
The
public hearing was opened at 4:03 PM. Sandra Leuze was present. She would like
to put the ramp on the deck to enable her handicapped husband access to two of
the doors on the house. This would need a 10’ variance. The shed she proposes
is a 12 x 12 that she would like to have placed 3-4 feet from the rear line.
Floyd Dame mentioned that a 10 x 12 shed could be installed
7½’
from the rear line and 7½’ from the side and meet the requirements of the
zoning law.
The
public hearing was closed at 4:14 PM and the regular session resumed.
A
motion was made by Molly Reilly, seconded by Floyd Dame to grant the 10’
variance for the handicap ramp. (5 ayes, 0 nays)
A
motion was made by Floyd Dame and seconded by Larry Barone to approve a 10’ x 12’
shed installed 7½’ from the rear line of the property. (5 ayes, 0 nays)
The
meeting was adjourned at 4:21 PM with a motion made by John Kenna, seconded by
Larry Barone. (5 ayes, 0 nays).
